I’m heavymetalcook, the current Bootcamp Moderator and a Lead for the LP Army. I’ve been part of this community from its early days—first as a contributor, then a Moderator for the LP Army, and now as a Lead helping shape LP Army’s growth and education strategy.
Over the past year, I’ve focused heavily on building and expanding the Bootcamp program—transforming it into a structured, multi-language initiative that reaches thousands of new and experienced LPs around the world. My role extends beyond just teaching: I help design curriculum, train instructors, manage community growth, and ensure LP Army remains a safe, welcoming, and informative space for everyone.

Bootcamp Lead Summary
Since taking the Bootcamp Lead role back in July 2024, I’ve taken on a wide range of responsibilities that span education, coordination, and community growth.
Educational Content & Coordination
- Coordinated, run or assisted running 15 Bootcamps
- Training course includes the basics of LP and definitions, Dynamic Pools, Vaults, Farms and DLMM concepts and use. Basic TA, basic and advanced strategies, position management, risk assessment, impermanent loss, opportunity finding and more
- Revamped the course structure over the months
- Coordinate and lead Advanced Bootcamp with 1 completed and more scheduled
- Onboarded, trained and coordinated new instructors
- Streamlined grading and role assignment
- Grading forms which includes extensive data validation, sybil checks, reviewing failures
- Built scalable processes to support ongoing education
Growth & Community Impact
- Expanded Bootcamps into 4 new languages with more in the works
- Promoted courses with other communities
- LP Army Privates have grown to almost 16,000 from approximately 2000
- Created music to promote and add fun to Bootcamps and promotions
LP Army Moderation
As one of the original LP Army Moderators and a current LP Army Lead, I’ve taken on a broad range of responsibilities to support the community and maintain a strong, safe environment. As part of that work, here’s what I regularly handle:
- Help keep the Meteora and LP Army Server clear of scammers
- Provide support to users through tickets
- Answer general chat questions
- Help identify and select new LP Army members
- Help identify and select new moderators
- Expand new language channels by finding International Mods and having channels added as these communities grow
- Promote and support Team and LP Army initiatives and communications
- Help lead Office Hours and Community Calls
- Provide guidance and support to other moderators
- Create and moderate Streamyard sessions for Community Calls, International Jams, Office Hours
