Proposal: Growing & Scaling the LP Army

Hey LP Army — I’m Mario, one of the current LP Army leads. I’ve been in the trenches with Meteora and LP Army for over a year, helping shape what we’ve built together. I’ve led initiatives, solved problems, and worked full-time to grow this community into what it is today.

TL;DR: I’m proposing a $5k/month salary and $20K/quarter community engagement fund to continue leading, scaling, and supporting LP Army full-time. This includes managing all community channels, representing LP interests in product decisions, and driving growth across Discord, X and other socials.

:man_raising_hand: About Me

I’ve been in crypto since 2011—basically half my life. But it wasn’t until last year that I started LP-ing on Meteora, kicking things off with just $500 from my JUP airdrop. I stuck with it, kept learning, and surrounded myself with sharp, committed people in LP Army and Goose DAO. That focus paid off—I turned that small start into six figures in profits, all thanks to the power of shared knowledge and collaboration. Now, I’m focused on giving back to the community and helping others succeed the same way.

Alongside leading in Goose DAO—home to many of Meteora’s most active DLMM power users—I’ve built and continue to manage the LP Army Discord, X (Twitter) and YouTube accounts. Over the past few months, I’ve been working closely with the Meteora team on a full-time basis, handling everything from Discord support tickets and technical questions to community moderation, product feedback, and platform issue escalation. I attend all weekly community calls and make sure the voice of the LP Army and broader community is heard—raising concerns, sharing feedback, and keeping the team in tune with what users need.

I’m proposing community funding to support my ongoing work, leadership, and the incentives I’m running.

What I’ve Been Working On

:globe_with_meridians: LP Army Discord Server

I built and now lead the LP Army Discord server—the go-to hub for all LPs on Meteora. From the start, the goal has been to provide real value: strategy-sharing, custom tooling, hands-on support, and a space that stays clear, respectful, and rewarding. I actively manage and moderate the entire server to ensure it’s a solid experience for both newcomers and seasoned LPs. A big shout out to the Goose DAO members—their early involvement helped bridge the gap between advanced users and beginners. They’ve been instrumental in shaping the server, sharing strategies, and making valuable calls that lift up the whole community.

The LP Army Discord server has experienced exceptional growth, reaching over 3,500 members in just four weeks. Hundreds of users are actively collaborating and profitably pooling together every day.

Current Member Breakdown (as of 4/1/2025):

  • Total Members: 3,900+
  • LP Army: 64 active members
  • Goose: 59 active members
  • LP Army Private: 1,400+ active members

If you haven’t joined yet, visit our Discord and see firsthand how the LP Army shares their success stories in the #post-wins channel.

:loudspeaker: LP Army X (Twitter)

I run the community X account to highlight wins, share strategy breakdowns, and boost content from the LP Army. It’s become a core channel for growing our reach and showing the broader Solana ecosystem what our community is building. In just four weeks, we’ve grown to 1,500+ followers. The mix of strong organic engagement and support from our Discord engagement squad has proven to be a powerful way to get our message out.

:technologist: Day-to-Day Support & Coordination

Day in, day out, I’m in the trenches—helping users, solving issues, talking to devs, and making sure community feedback gets where it needs to go. During our weekly community calls, I represent the LP Army, voicing user experiences, sharing important feedback, and advocating for the community’s interests. My role ensures that the team’s decisions and actions remain closely aligned with the needs and expectations of our members.

:repeat_button: Feedback Loop & Product Insights

I actively gather product feedback from our channels and pass along insights to the team to help improve platform UX and features. This includes tracking recurring bugs, surfacing critical issues quickly, and suggesting improvements based on real user experiences.

Some of my past feedback has led to major changes at Meteora.

  • I pushed for a lower protocol fee to be implemented immediately, instead of a higher fee introduced later. The team listened to the community and went with a lower starting point, with plans to increase when needed.
  • I’ve worked closely with the UX designer to bring back one-sided withdrawals quickly, and I also proposed automatic one-sided liquidity distribution—along with several other small but impactful UI improvements.

What I’m Proposing

To continue and expand this work, I’m proposing monthly funding for my role and an engagement budget to fuel community growth and participation.

:briefcase: Monthly Salary ($5,000/month)

This is a full-time commitment for me. I’m not involved in any other projects—my focus is 100% on growing and improving the LP Army, well beyond just what’s outlined in this proposal.

Role Name Monthly Salary
LP Army Community Lead Mario $5,000

Note: This proposal reflects a continuation of the work I’ve already been doing in a paid capacity since August 2024. The $5K/month salary isn’t a new ask—it simply supports the full-time role I’ve been actively performing for the past several months.

Community Engagement Budget ($20,000/quarter)

These funds go directly back into the LP Army community—to reward, recognize, and keep contributors actively engaged:

  • $5,000 — Competitions & Challenges
Weekly LPing challenges (e.g. best % PnL card wins $XX), LPing competitions, and more.

  • $5,000 — Contributor Incentives
Direct recognition for meaningful contributions (e.g. satsmonkes for design work, Mythical Potato for calls, etc). Each month, the community will decide who receives these incentives based on contributions and impact.

  • $2,500 — Engagement Rewards
Rewards issued via our Discord engage bot leaderboard to encourage regular participation.

  • $2,500 — Merch & Community Fun
Meme contests, quizzes, game nights, and other interactive events—with LP Army merch or monetary incentives as prizes.

  • $5,000 — Overflow
For unexpected costs and future incentives (e.g. cost of tools/necessary software or extra prizes for high-participation events).

We’re talking exclusive LP Army gear for top contributors, memes, quizzes, and real incentives that make people want to show up and participate.
While I initially questioned whether the monetary rewards might attract airdrop hunters, we’ve set a clear boundary: all incentives will be gated behind the LP Army Private role on LP Army Discord. That way, rewards stay within the hands of real contributors—people who are genuinely active and adding value to the community.

:bar_chart: How I’ll Measure Success

I’ll track progress through a couple key performance indicators (KPIs):

  • Growth on our X (Twitter) account
  • New and active Discord members
  • Participation in events, discussions, and strategy sharing (measured by XP ranks)

Final Thoughts

This community has had a massive impact on me, and I’m fully focused on giving back—supporting others on the same journey, with fewer roadblocks than I faced.

With your support, I’ll keep giving my all to push LP Army forward—helping more LPs grow, learn, and succeed, with the right tools and support behind them.

If you support this proposal—or have suggestions to improve it—please share your thoughts below. I’ll be actively responding in the thread. Let’s build this together.

Much love,
Mario

I agree with you, you deserve it!

i think u deserved it . The prizes for community will 100% rise the participation and activity in discord, however i think activity depends on market condition (which is now not really good)

Sounds reasonable :+1:

I support this initiative. I think it’s fair to add salaries for LP army leads who will do significant contributions, as well as to value the contributions already made during last year. As for engagements rewards and community fun, I think we have to start running these initiatives with little rewards and scale up as we see more organic growth. It is no news that bots like to farm such rewards

A net positive proposal for both Meteora and the LP Army — that’s a strong YES from me.
Keep up the great work, and thank you for everything you’ve accomplished so far.

I support but it should start after 3 months of Tge
by looking growth and contribution
since we had points farming it was easy to get people because of airdrop
it wont be same after tge
if market is slow flow of liquidity and users will go down

Mario might be one of the best guys in the met space but would you be willing to share how much you benefited already from the m3m3 launches?

Thanks for the kind words!
As for M3M3 profits - is it directed to me personally?
I don’t think I even profited from M3M3 launches - I think I’m either close to net 0 or even a bit under.

Full time for Mario LFG :comet::100::saluting_face::fire:

Who’s paying?

Does the LP Army community have a public treasury?

I worked for a DAO in which at one point a very old and respected member of the community requested something like this.
It ended up being ignored for 1 year and he left…
Let’s proceed carefully so as not to offend anyone. The issue of finances is always a very hard one.

Goose DAO got 4 digits airdrop from m3m3 launches. Correct me if I am wrong. I think it’s fair to ask how much in total from all launches.

And yes you should get funded for taking care of the LP army community. However I also think that mods shouldn’t have the ability to ban people from meteora discord or the LP army discord for a fight they start( mods are folks from from goose dao)
