Interest Check – LP Army IRL Events?

This isn’t a fully fleshed-out proposal—more of a message in a bottle to test the waters and see if there’s interest in an idea I’ve been thinking about.

Back when I was COO of the NFT project CETS, the team allocated part of its marketing budget to support spontaneous IRL meetups between community members. These events helped people connect, build relationships, strengthen the sense of belonging, and generated great stories and content for social media.

I believe the topic that brings us together here—liquidity providing on Meteora—is a great fit for similar IRL events. We could imagine something like “advanced LP bootcamps”, combining education and community vibes:

  • Deep dives into advanced LP strategies (similar to advanced bootcamp with a main speaker)
  • Experience sharing between LP Army members (multiple LP army members can come on stage and share their own experience)
  • A few drinks and relaxed conversations

Beyond strengthening the community, it would give Meteora great social content—real people, real stories, at a relatively low cost.

So my two questions are:

  1. Would the Meteora team be open to supporting this kind of initiative?
    (Depending on the location, number of participants, and scope, a simple “Meteora Afterwork” could cost anywhere from €500 to €5,000.)
  2. Would you—fellow LP Army members—be interested in attending such events?

If the response is positive, I’d be happy to organize a first event in Paris, and come back with a detailed proposal (format, estimated budget, number of participants, etc.). If it works well, it could pave the way for other LP Army members to get support from the Meteora team to host similar events in their own cities.

Great proposal. I think it can only make the Met community stronger and better while showing to external ppl that the LP army is real and supportive.

Personally, I am not in the Paris area, so I won’t be able to attend, but it might be accessible for others. I don’t know if it works the same way in other cities or towns, or if associations could provide free venues. Maybe you’re considering something more complex, like setting up screens and other equipment, which is why you’re budgeting?

However, I wonder if we have a significant Meteora community in France. Apart from a few people I frequently see in the French channels, both in Meteora and the LP Army, there aren’t many people in the French chat.

Could be nice to have an event yeah sure, would only depend on the where/when/price (if it’s not free) but I’m sure we wouldn’t be that many. I’d expect less than 20 ppl in this meeting based on how the French channel is less crowded now. :leaf_fluttering_in_wind:

Would be nice to get some METEORA Merch/goodies/something as well. :hammer_and_pick:
