I am working on hosting a IRL bootcamp on how to DLMM at the Superteam Canada Vancouver coworking space.
Solana Vancouver / Superteam Canada has regular meetups on Fridays from 10AM-6PM.
While coworking at the space I’ve noticed alot of people interested in learning how to LP. I’ve done dozens of how to LP tutorials and I’ve gotten tons of great feedback from the people here when working on UltraLP.
I am part of the LP armyand have done extensive LPing over the past few months. Here’s a look into our tool with our interview with Geeklad.
If this is successful I would be happy to run this more frequently and at size.
Schedule:
The plan for the day will be 30 minutes of mingling, 45 minute workshop, 15 minute Q&A and then give people a chance to try things out while answering questions for about 1 hour.
KPIs for success:
Net number of new LP army signups per event (the capacity of the space is about 50). I am aiming for a 50% conversion each session. Based on prior conversations, I am quite confident in this number.
What I would need to run this event
Sponsor some food and drinks (budget about $200 USDC (2 SOL))
Print outs or posters which I can do myself.
A retweet of our Luma event link from the Meteora or LP army official twitter to encourage people to attend who are local.
If this is something thats interesting to people would love to take suggestions.
I plan to host this within the next 2-3 weeks ( I am travelling to Istanbul / Dubai in late April).
Hey Richard! Huge fan of you and Alex’s work with UltraLP.
This is a great initiative — we also had folks from the Turkish community (MetturkDAO) who recently also hosted an in-person Bootcamp at a local university.
It’s a great way to introduce Meteora to new LPs, and also gather some sensing on the learning curve on the DLMM and what ways we can further simplify the learning process for new users.
One thing I’d throw in is to include some coverage for the event (videos, photos etc.) so that you can share it with folks on socials.
The requirements and the goals are straightforward — keen to make this happen!

We’ve secured the FriendsQuarter space on April 11th with our partners Superteam Canada from 12:30PM-4:00PM
I’ll be bringing 2 other team members from UltraLP to help.
Superteam Canada will help with audio/visual and helping in general.
We’ll be sponsoring lunch approximately for 50 attendees
We have 2 weeks to market the event on Luma and Twitter
We like the idea of the LP Competition from another thread so want to have a mini DLMM contest for $100 in SOL prize for the highest % P&L in the room starting with $10 – asking attendees bring their laptops after the tutorial session.

Update:
Joined Superteam Canada to promote the workshop at a major local conference today.
Based on the 34 signups so far and speaking with people interested, I think we need to go very non-coiner for this. Total length might be an hour.
The agenda I have planned for this type of target audience:
Create a Solana Wallet
Buy your first SOL
Learn about LPing in general
Add liquidity to a stable pool
Remove liquidity and calculate P&L (using UltraLP)
Talk about risk, volatility, and how to DYOR.
Have people find some pools and try it out themselves.

I thought it was a pretty good intro to Meteora and LPing
An hour or so is a very short amount of time to be able to cover the complexities of DLMMing, but the information provided was good in terms of explaining what LPing is in layman’s terms.
Great little crash course for those newer to web3, and a little intro into LPing and DLMMing with Meteora.
