One of the most effective tools for attracting attention and accelerating growth for pre-TGE crypto projects today is participation in the Kaito Yapper Launchpad and subsequent appearance on the Kaito Leaderboard. I propose Meteora leverage this tool, using the successful case of Wayfinder as a clear demonstration of its potential benefits.
Why is this important?
The Kaito Leaderboard platform has emerged as a crucial benchmark for evaluating pre-TGE projects in the crypto market. It’s not just another project list—it’s a powerful tool for boosting visibility and community engagement, provided it is used strategically.
The Wayfinder Case: Remarkable Results
Wayfinder project vividly demonstrates the effectiveness of participation in Kaito Leaderboard:
Registered users increased from 157k to 520k (+231%).
Wallets created jumped from 76k to 400k (+426%).
Private alpha testers rose from 11k to 25k (+127%).
Twitter followers grew from 42k to 122k (+190%).
Mindshare skyrocketed from 0.81% to 10% (+1,135%).
These numbers speak volumes. Wayfinder didn’t merely appear on the Kaito platform—they effectively converted this opportunity into significant and sustained growth.
How did Wayfinder achieve these results?
Clear Strategy: They began preparation long before the campaign’s start. From late January, they conducted early testing and generated 244k wallets organically through community-driven activities.
Missions and Incentives: Participants were given clear and accessible missions:
Following social channels and posting about Wayfinder.
Creating wallets and depositing a minimum of $10 on various blockchains (low entry barrier).
Referral programs to facilitate viral growth.
Integration with Kaito: After winning the Launchpad, they launched a special social mission, allocating part of their community tokens, further stimulating activity on the Kaito platform.
What will Meteora gain from this?
Increased visibility: Exposure among the Kaito audience, one of the leading information sources on pre-TGE projects.
Community incentives: Clearly defined tasks and simple actions will boost participant engagement and attract new users.
Measurable and controllable campaign efficiency: Real-time monitoring of campaign effectiveness through mindshare metrics.
Testimonials from other projects
Both the CEO and marketing lead of the Sophon project have confirmed the significant impact of participating in Kaito:
Sophon CEO: “It really helps.”
Sophon Marketing Lead: “We rose from zero to number one among pre-TGE projects due to our successful campaign on Kaito.”
Proposed Actions for Meteora:
Submit an application for the next batch of the Kaito Yapper Launchpad.
Develop similar straightforward missions and social mechanisms.
Start preparing the audience and community in advance.
Clearly link social activity to on-chain actions.
Conclusion
The experience of Wayfinder and the feedback from other participants clearly demonstrate that participating in the Kaito Launchpad and Leaderboard is an effective growth and community engagement tool. With its active community, Meteora is fully capable of making a strong impression and significantly strengthening its market position.
I propose that the Meteora team discusses and votes on applying for the upcoming Kaito Yapper Launchpad.
Thank you for your attention, and I look forward to your opinions and suggestions.
i dont support this proposal
we already have LP Army which works very hard every day
Kaito is just based on followers and it is content most of time which is not real just for yaps they write so many fake threads
if we want to reward users and get more reach
try to run a campaign and reward users of sharring there stratergies and pnl
people who never used meteora giving $met to them is worst proposal
I think @adovrn is right that Kaito Yapper Leaderboard is something that might benefit Meteora.
I will look into a solution that helps drive the growth of Meteora and MET while also ensuring we don’t dilute the LP Army’s standing in the community.
It will make sense to keep it real within the community of Lparmy to yappers people who might have limited knowledge about meteora and just use it because of incentives.
What did you think will happen after the Token generation event of Meteora, alot of then will eventually stop yapping about meteora, I have seen it with couple of projects like Bera and Initial, many more. They will only come because of Airdrop, I don’t think they will stay for long-term.
It will still allow more people to learn about Meteora. It will widen the user engagement funnel. Some will leave and some will stay. That’s the way it’s always gonna be. And without Kaito’s campaign, some will leave and some will stay.
With the look of present crypto space meta, I think kaito is the new meta of marketing strategy projects use to get attention of global people on twitter. It looks like yaps to earn but I believe team have special plans to empower existing Lparmy who have being puting alot of effort to market Meteora on twitter.
I have limited knowledge about stablecoin option, all I know is certain percentage use to allocated to yappers on kaito and I haven see any project uses stablecoin.
Meteora is already on the kaito pre-tge leaderboard - currently ranked 23 - but it hasn’t been announced that yappers will get anything for yapping about it
IMO it would be great marketing if there was some kind of incentive from meteora’s end for yapping about it but it should be a SMALL allocation because very likely it will get farmed hard by people who will not hold onto MET upon TGE or even LP it
But one thing is for sure, whenever incentives for something pre-TGE is announced, my X timeline gets flooded. Caldera is the most recent example…and its a rollup-as a service platform (something you use to launch another L2 in a SEA of L2s) that many people use AI/copy-pasta to post about
BUT its getting posted about nonetheless to the point that people on X/CT cannot avoid seeing it on their TL
I really do hope that if meteora offers incentives for yappers, that it be a small drop in the bucket. vs what they offer for real users. Meteora has really good tech that is useful, that isn’t offered by another project (at least to my knowledge), unlike a lot of these other projects IMO on the pre-tge leaderboard
Those within LParmy and the people that they reach are very likely real LP users whereas I think people who’ll focus on yaps/mindshare are just farming that program
another example i can add here is BERA when it comes to pre-tge leaderboard and incentives
I clicked a lot of testnet buttons but didn’t get rewarded nearly as much as yappers who posted about it, which is mind boggling, but I suppose they valued marketing more than testnet users. BERA also had a pretty big community built up as they started building up their community post arbitrum and OP TGE when airdrop farming was HOT, which probably helped with sustaining the price post TGE
It did pretty well post TGE but now is not doing too hot
Another example I can think of but wasn’t on Kaito/yaps, but did something similar, is Sanctum/cloud when they rewarded people who posted about sanctum and gave out HUGE allos to few people (vs number of people who LSTd) on the earnestness side the drop vs people who actually put up capital to LST. Not having a cap for whales was a big problem for TGE. Not sure what exactly happened afterwards, if a lot of earnest clouds then sold off when their allo vested, but cloud is WAY below the price where you could have picked it up at through the alpha vault (~0.15)
again, i think offering incentives to yappers is great marketing but I think it should be a very small allo compared to what will be given to real LPers
